I'm thankful for...
1. ...smiling faces that greet me each morning.
2. ...boys and girls that sing from their heart at the All-School Program.
3. ...parents that love their kids enough to spent tremendous amounts of money on Christian education.
4. ...volunteers who come to school or work at home on behalf of our school.
5. ...a little girl who told me she asked for lower case pigtails.
6. ...passionate chapel speakers.
7. ...children who learn to zip their own coat and who take pride in doing it themselves.
8. ...encouraging words from others.
9. ...coffee.
10. ...children who love to hear Bible stories.
11. ...kindergartners who are enthusiastic about learning.
12. ...people that do recess duty.
13. ...Lysol wipes.
14. ...volunteers who put together activities to help students learn about disabilities through our Fearfully and Wonderfully Made day.
15. ...children and adults with disabilities who teach about compassion and give us an appreciation for the physical or intellectual gifts that God has given us.
16. ...shoes that stay tied.
17. ...the blessing of being forgiven by God and by others.
18. ...reading rest time.
19. ...aides who clean up vomit without batting an eye.
20. ...hugs from kindergartners, first graders, second graders, and an occasional third or fourth grader.
21. ...moms who may not be able to volunteer at school, but are able to support the school in other ways.
22. ...financial gifts to the school.
23. ...snacks in the teachers' lounge (or the meeting room as the kindergartners call it).
24. ...prayers on behalf of the teachers, staff, and students of the school.
25. ...a heavenly Father who not only oversees all of this, but who has ordained it, so that everything that has happened, is happening, and will happen is according to His will and is for our good and His glory.
...and the following are pictures from our week: learning how to zip our coats and practicing for the program.
