So sorry it took so long. Early warm weather and a premature lawn mowing season (among other things) have kept me busy for the last few weeks. I have been writing things down, so there should be more coming. Until then, I posted a lot of pictures, so maybe that will make up for it.:)

At the end of the year, the kindergarten through third grades have a full day field day! We start with devotions and singing in the gym, followed by a quick snack. Then, we have a pep rally and break into teams. By 10:00 we are on the playground competing in eight different events, including the long jump, the dash, sack races, obstacle course, softball toss, soccer shootout, bean bag toss, and javelin throw. Just before lunch we have tug of war contests between all the teams. After a hot dog lunch and devotions in the gym, we head back out to finish the competition. The grand finale is a ribbon ceremony in the gym when 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons are handed out. The day involves a ton of volunteers for which we are extremely thankful. Enjoy the pictures from field day! Our end of the year field trip was to the zoo. We had a great day! The weather was awesome, the kids were fantastic, and the fellowship was great! Thankfully, we had LOTS of parents along to supervise. I think the cihld to adult ratio was 2:1 so no one got lost. It was a great day!
When we finish doing all of the letters of the alphabet, we celebrate with ABC Day! Everyone wears and brings things that start with a specific letter. This year, I was a super surgeon in scrubs with a stethescope. Here are a few pictures of our "Alphabet Fashion Show." I know there were some amazing signs that went with the outfits, but I'm so slow getting them on that I can't remember them anymore.
